Just received a really nice zine from Auckland, New Zealand from Amanda Wood. It’s 22 pages plus cover and is balanced between black & white images of cityscapes and text. While I do push the speed of technology on this blog, I have to admit that I really appreciate when someone takes the effort and time to create something like Sketches. When someone creates a pdf the thing can be as many pages as possible, infinitely colourful and any dimension. Looking at this zine it felt considered with the pace of the images, page count and of course the writing.

#Walkingtoworktoday Project

#Walkingtowork today is an ongoing photo documentation project open to anyone.

The guidelines are pretty simple.

1.Take an image while walking to work.
2. Post that image to flickr and tag the image with walkingtoworktoday (all one word).
3. Tweet the title of the image with the hash tag #walkingtoworktoday along with a link to the image on flickr.

But wait, you don't think you walk to work? You have to walk to your car to drive, or walk from your mode of transportation to the front door of where you work—so it is possible to make the stroll interesting for yourself. For more info on the idea visit the #walkingtoworktoday page.
